Dave graduated from Georgia Tech in 1989 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He began his career selling industrial equipment before becoming involved in the flooring industry. He worked at both Mohawk Industries and Abbey before founding FloorExpo, Inc., today known as FEI Group.
A lover of all things related to space, Dave was passionate about collecting meteorites. His collection, Falling Rocks, is one of the largest and most impressive collections in private hands.
Dave met his life partner, Kasia, at a coffee shop; they shared nearly a decade together. Raising a blended family, they enjoyed tremendously sharing precious moments and adventures together with family and friends.
Dave was a brilliant innovator, a gifted speaker and the definition of leadership, yet he was approachable, personable and as down-to-earth as they come. He took great pride in his roles as son, brother, uncle, CEO and friend, but perhaps more important than anything, he cherished his role as father to a very special young lady, Maddie Gheesling.
